Summary of Proposed Project
The BSO proposes to present four performances of repertoire by Beethoven (Piano Concert No. 1 and Symphony No. 7) on March 10, 11, 12, and 15, 2016. We are very proud to be presenting two weeks of important, much-beloved work from the greatest composer of the romantic classical period under the baton of BSO guest conductor and consummate Beethove interpreter Herbert Blomstedt. Garrick Ohlsson will be the featured soloist.

Summary of Proposed Project
The New York Philharmonic will present four performances of Johannes Brahms’ A German Requiem in March 2016 at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City. Guest conductor Christoph von Dohnányi will lead the Orchestra and guest artists soprano Camilla Tilling, baritone Matthias Goerne and the New York Choral Artists. We expect these concerts will be very popular with audiences and will reach a projected total of approximately 9,760 concertgoers. To promote the program, the Philharmonic will continue its comprehensive marketing strategy of outreach in print, online, and social media.
